You can click <a title=\"2011 ArtPrize Winner\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mlive.com\/artprize\/index.ssf\/2011\/12\/mia_tavonattis_michigan_moments_qa_with_2-time_artprize_winner.html\" target=\"_blank\">here <\/a>for some context, but here\u2019s the basic story: The piece that won ArtPrize this year was \u201cCrucifixion,\u201d a stained-glass mosaic of Jesus Christ on a cross. This did not sit well with some who saw it as purposely pandering to the Christian inclination of West Michigan. There was some interesting debate around the topic. But the most interesting thing to me is how a few just would <em>not let it go<\/em>.
