The backstory. I mean, honestly. Reminds me of back in 1998 when Vermont was trying to make Lake Champlain a “Great Lake.” That deserved a rude gesture, too.

HA! Reminds me of the reaction my wife had when she visited the East Coast. I kept saying “mountains” and she said, those are hills. Having lived 10+ years in Seattle she was right…but shhh don’t tell her. 🙂

Well, to us Michigan flatlanders, them ARE mountains!

Wisconsin’s ad looks like an old LLBean mitten that was run over and misshapen after many years of sitting roadside before it was discovered and featured in an ad. I was immediately reading Wisconsin as the annoying orange voice in the comic. It worked well. But why do you pick on Vermont? Next time, use Rhode Islanders who plan overnight stays if they have to travel more than 45 minutes (all within RI).
