Not trying to be snide or joking by this comment.
Bit of a downer of an argument, but if you look at it from a purely financial point of view I think a lot of states are missing out on creating new jobs. If 50%+ of malefemale marriages end in divorce how many more lawyers, paralegals, private eyes, support staff, office suppliers, truckers, manufacturers, etc. would be required to handle same sex marriages…?

Spot-on John. Lack of equality under the law is a real deterrant to “pink” investment and talent; especially when competing states don’t have discrimination enshrined in their constitutions. Michigan has a lot to offer. What a a shame such tempting inducements are poisoned by obsolete legislation and legislators.
